Li’l Sebastian Memorial Weekend Set for Next Month

The city has announced dates for the annual Li’l Sebastian Memorial Weekend, a tradition honoring Pawnee’s most beloved miniature horse with candles, ballads, and a moment of silence held at noon sharp.

The weekend will include a community gathering at Founders’ Park, a screening of archival footage, and the traditional singing of “5,000 Candles in the Wind.” Organizers ask attendees to arrive with tissues and an open mind.

The event remains one of the most attended on Pawnee’s community calendar, drawing residents from across the city each year.
